Rolls Royce Silver Shadow : bienvenue dans la modernité (luxueuse)
On ne s’en souvient plus, mais la présentation de la Rolls Royce Silver Shadow au Salon de Paris 1965 fit un choc encore plus grand que celle de la Phantom VII en 2003, première Rolls de l’ère BMW. Jusque là, et malgré l’adoption d’un moderne V8 sur la Silver Cloud en 1959, on ne pouvait pas vraiment louer Rolls Royce pour son modernisme. Contre toute attente, la vénérable marque anglaise osait lancer une berline alliant le luxe, la puissance mécanique et « nouvelles technologies » (de l’époque hein, gardons la raison) !
