This Ford was assembled in two stages. In 1935, the engine and chassis were ordered from Ford by the present owner's great aunt. This woman had a fashion house in Paris, and ordered this car for the 1935 Paris salon des maisons de haute couture, for which she won first prize for elegance (photos available). The choice of this model made sense: Ford had just launched the world's first mass-produced V8, a high-performance engine hitherto little known.
The engine and chassis were delivered to Paul Née's workshops in Levallois for bodybuilding. As a result, the car was delivered with kilometers per hour rather than miles per hour.
Due to fuel shortages during the war, the car was stored, discreetly tucked away in a barn. So discreetly hidden that it was forgotten after the war and never driven again. It waited over 40 years before seeing the light of day again, when the lady's nephew, the current owner, recovered it in 1982.
In 1991, he launched a complete restoration. The car came out of the restoration in 1996.
Since then, the car has been regularly driven and maintained. To this day, it remains in superb condition, capable of covering any distance at astonishing speeds for a car from the 1930s. It still has its original engine and gearbox.

Here's the translation:
State:
General: For its age, this Ford is in very good condition.
Exterior: The bodywork is in excellent condition. The green and black paintwork was redone during the restoration and now has a beautiful patina. The convertible top was replaced a few years ago. The chrome, from the imposing grille to the hubcaps, has a very nice shine, although some might appreciate some attention to the bumpers.
Interior: The interior is also in very good condition. The green leather was redone during the restoration and has been well maintained since. The woodwork has been revarnished, except for the dashboard to show its age. The speedometer and water temperature gauge are functional. The fuel gauge needs to be reconnected. An oil pressure gauge has been discreetly added in the glove compartment.
Mechanical:
=> This nearly century-old car is in perfect working order, capable of traveling any distance. It's not a museum piece but a living car, truly capable of being driven. It has been maintained with this in mind.
=> The V8 starts very well and runs smoothly, surprisingly torquey with a very pleasant sound. It was also rebuilt during the restoration. The last service was in 2023. An aluminum expansion tank has been added for cooling reliability. The gearbox, although non-synchronized, is very smooth for a pre-war car.
=> The handling is reassuring for a car of its time. The brakes were redone in 2023, and the steering has no excessive play. Once you get behind the wheel, you realize the handling is good. The performance level is surprising: you can easily cruise at 80/90 km/h on secondary roads. On the highway, you can maintain an average speed of 110 km/h without effort, with possible peaks at 130.
Structure: The chassis has been completely restored and is very solid. The beechwood parts have been remade. To the owner's knowledge, the car has never been in an accident.
