Personal Data

Processing of Personal Data

Registration on the Site involves the collection and processing of the user's personal data by the Company.

Furthermore, the user agrees that their personal data will be processed and retained by the Company for five (5) years, under the Company's responsibility and under the conditions mentioned below.

All data collected by the Company is necessary for the user's registration on the Site, for the provision of services, and for any follow-up actions that may result from it.

In addition, the Company may transmit the data:

  • to any person who needs it to carry out operations on behalf of the Company (including but not limited to: maintenance, support, debt collection, etc.),
  • to official authorities that request it.

Moreover, the Company may send the user, notably by email, unless opposed by them:

  • information or promotional offers regarding the Company or similar services provided to the user,
  • information or promotional offers related to other services provided by the Company.

Exercise of Rights Related to Personal Data

The user has the right to access, modify, rectify, and delete their data, in accordance with Articles 32 and following of Law No. 78-17 of January 6, 1978 known as “Data Protection and Liberties”.

These rights can be exercised by the user by sending a request to the Company either by mail to the address 3 rue Anatole de la Forge, 75017 PARIS, or by email to hello@carjager.com.

This request must be accompanied by a copy of an identity document of the requester and specify the address to which a response can be sent.

Cookies

The Company may use cookies to, among other things, facilitate the user's navigation on the Site and offer them personalized offers. These cookies can be deleted by the user in their browser settings. However, deleting cookies may disrupt navigation on the Site or even prevent the user from using certain features.

The Company cannot use cookies to identify the user but to collect information during the visit to the Site. Through this, the Company can know which features of the Site interest the user.

Thus, the Company can better understand user interests and provide them with information tailored to their needs.

Thanks to these cookies, users will avoid having to provide information they have already communicated.

The data used is strictly anonymous and is used for statistical purposes.

Intellectual Property

The Company holds rights to all elements published on the Site (especially texts, images, software, except for information provided by users), which are protected by French and international intellectual property laws.

Furthermore, the Company holds all rights to databases created with the Site – as the producer of said database – which may contain information provided by the user.

The Company also holds the trademark “CarJager”, registered with the EUIPO under number 017459744, and the domain names are regularly registered.

The user must not copy, reproduce, or disseminate all or part of the Site, in any form whatsoever, without prior written permission from the Company.

In general, the user must not infringe the intellectual property rights held by the Company.

The Company reminds that any infringement of the integrity and proper functioning of the Site may engage the liability of its author.

Applicable Law and Competent Jurisdiction

French law will be the only law applicable to the relations between a user and the Company.

In the event of a disagreement related to the execution or interpretation of these legal notices, the parties agree that, before any legal action, any claim must be subject to a formal notice with acknowledgment of receipt.

After a period of ten (10) days following the sending of the said formal notice, remaining unanswered, each party may initiate any legal proceedings.

The competent jurisdiction will be determined in accordance with the rules of common law, unless the user has the status of a trader (“merchant”).

For traders (“merchants”), any dispute between the parties regarding commercial relationships, particularly concerning the conclusion, interpretation, execution, and termination of any contract, will be submitted to the jurisdiction of the Company’s registered office, even in the event of multiple defendants or a guarantee call.
