History: This 1966 Ford Mustang Code C was sold new in the USA before being imported to France in 2013. The current owner acquired it in July 2018. Since then, substantial maintenance has been carried out, with major work carried out by the GTA garage in Courbevoie in 2018, at a cost of €16,500.
Condition:
General: The car is in very good condition.
Exterior: The bodywork is very attractive. Its black hue, uncommon on these convertibles, suits it very well. Up close, there are a few imperfections. Chromes are in fairly good condition. The tinted windshield and soft top are in good condition. A chrome luggage rack completes the picture with a touch of elegance.
Interior: The interior is well preserved. The original radio still works, reinforcing the authenticity of the whole. The on-board equipment is fully functional, as are the various dials.
Powertrain: The V8 engine, mated to a 3-speed automatic gearbox, works very well. The gearbox is pleasant. Numerous interventions were carried out in 2018, including replacement of the water pump, radiator, fan and hoses. The starter motor and relay were replaced. The front axle was overhauled, incorporating new parts such as steering arms, ball joints, shock absorbers and stabilizer bar, with geometry to ensure optimum roadholding. Disc brakes were installed at the front, with a new master cylinder. The fuel system has been overhauled, with the fuel pump and tank replaced. The overhaul is ready for sale.
