History
This AC Ace Roadster left the factory on 14 October 1955 and was delivered to Duncan Forlong in February 1956 via Import Cars in Tampa, Florida.
Duncan Forlong took part in many races in Florida and Texas during this period, and his AC made the cover of Sports Car America magazine. Well-known on the racetracks of the time, the car has a fine history.

Conditions
The original AC engine, judged to be underpowered, was replaced by a Bristol 6-cylinder 1971 cm3 reference 100-D2 with matching gearbox in the 1980s. The original engine block - matching numbers - is sold with the car.
The current owner acquired the car in 2013 and has been busy restoring it:
- the aluminium bodywork has been restored, stripped and painted in black to match the original colour, and the running gear has been replaced,
- New Dunlop wheels fitted with Michelin X tyres to match the original fitment,
- Complete engine overhaul: crankshaft rectification, new bearings, re-boring of Cosworth cylinders and pistons, new engine peripherals, etc....
- new wiring harness and battery,
- New carpets and leather.
The car is delivered with its accessories: new soft top with hoops and storage cover, new side-screens with cover, original jack with crank, mallet and wooden wedge for removing the wheels.
The tonneau cover is new, and the car still has its spare keys, its original AC logbook (extremely rare) and various technical documents. An extensive file of period photos and documents completes the dossier, as does a FIVA passport.
