History
Here's a rare opportunity to acquire an authentic Porsche Volkswagen 914 Mk1 in its 1.7-litre version with D-Jetronic Bosch injection, produced in 1972. This car, with around 121,000 kilometres on the clock, has a collector's registration document and is marked "Volkswagen-Porsche", a detail sought after by purists. Of European origin, delivered new to Verona, it has not undergone the modifications often found on American models.
Conditions
Only 28,000 examples were produced in this configuration between 1970 and 1972, 80% of which were destined for the United States. Today, this original European version is extremely rare, especially in this exceptional condition and with its fuel injection still intact. The 914 offers a unique experience, part Targa cabriolet, part Porsche roadholding, all with low maintenance costs thanks to the Volkswagen engine.
This example is in excellent presentation condition with its "50th Anniversary" tool kit and Porsche/Samsonite luggage (wheeled suitcase)

Exterior
The bodywork and chrome are in perfect condition. The paintwork is in superb condition with the flagship colour of this model, the famous "Saturn Gelb". The rims are original BB Fuchs and not copies. The spare wheel is new. The jack is the original Bilstein.
Interior
The interior is a "Time Capsule", the seats in black Basket leatherette are original, as is the dashboard, the Porsche logo on the bonnet, the 2-tone horn, the Porsche 4-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel (identical to the Porsche 911S 2L of the same period). 3-dial console (voltmeter, clock, oil pressure), 15" BB Fuchs alloy wheels mounted in 185 X 15 (165 X15 as originally fitted), the original boxes and loudspeakers at the foot of the front wings the long-range headlights the central boot cushion (for the third central seat) the seatbelts the fire extinguisher also original (no longer under warranty) the orange circular indicator repeaters on the wings and the crystal (water drop) nightlights (not two-tone)
Mechanical
Under the bonnet, the original 1.7-litre D-Jetronic fuel-injected engine has been completely rebuilt during the 2019/2020 restoration. It works perfectly and offers a smooth ride, accompanied by a Porsche Type 901 5-speed gearbox, also known as a 'dog leg', which ensures smooth gear changes. The moderate fuel consumption of 6 to 7 litres per 100 km makes it an ideal companion for long journeys, combining pleasure and efficiency.
