History :
The car was imported to France in 2011 by the previous owner in the Paris region, who is the son of the President of the Mercedes-Benz Club de France. The latter had a lot of work done in the Mercedes network.
The current owner bought it in October 2020 and is pursuing serious maintenance at a Mercedes specialist (DSA).
Condition:
General: Very good condition.
Exterior: The bodywork is very attractive. The car benefited from a complete paint job a few years ago. There are a few very discreet imperfections, but these do not detract from the car's elegance. Overall, it's a very handsome car, to the point of being featured in several TV shows and magazines!
Interior: The interior is very well preserved. The beige leathers are of remarkable quality, and you'd give them almost 100,000 km less. The headliner is firmly in place. The sunroof is a very pleasant option, adding even more light to this bright interior. It's well sealed and works well. All on-board equipment is functional (including 4 power windows, bench seat, sunroof and sunblind). The radio (top-of-the-range KENWOOD) is equipped with a subwoofer, remote control and Bluetooth function. A vintage Blaupunkt radio is also available. The audio system has been improved, and is remarkable for a car of this era! In 1989, this Mercedes was already equipped with ABS, traction control and airbags.
Powertrain: The V8 is in excellent working order. The automatic gearbox is a perfect match for the spirit of this large limousine: it provides smoothness and comfort. The engine and gearbox have been well looked after by recent owners. The suspension is very pleasant, and major work has also been carried out on the running gear. Roadholding is very good. The last service was in April 2024, so the car is up to date.
Underbody: The car is generally sound. The rear cradle shows the beginnings of localized oxidation, but this is not serious according to the technical inspection.
