History
This Aston Martin DB4 MK2, delivered new to Canada in 1961, crossed the Atlantic to France in 1998. The current owner acquired it in 2019. The car has not undergone a complete restoration, but it has benefited from notable improvements, including a mechanical update with the installation of a Vantage kit, increasing the engine capacity to 4.2 litres. Part of its history remains incomplete, but registration certificates, a service book and a few invoices document its history. Overall, the vehicle has remained true to its original specification, although it does show some modifications and signs of normal wear and tear associated with its age.

This copy is in fine condition, faithfully preserved as it was originally.
Exterior
The bodywork is in good condition, despite slight dents on the doors and rocker panels. The paintwork, which was redone several decades ago in its original Desert White colour, now shows variations in shade and a few defects in appearance. The spoked wheels, chrome, headlights and rear-view mirrors are well preserved. It should be noted that the rear lights need repairing.
Interior
The interior of this Aston Martin DB4 is meticulously preserved, offering a unique vintage charm. The red leather front seats have been reupholstered and are in excellent condition, while the original rear seats have a beautiful patina. The carpets and upholstery are well preserved, with traces of normal wear and tear. The unrestored dashboard and instrumentation remain functional and in good condition. A contemporary car radio has been added, providing a discreet modern touch.
Mechanical
Equipped with an updated Vantage-spec engine with three SU carburettors, this Aston Martin offers optimum performance and smooth running. The 4-speed manual gearbox delivers smooth, precise gear changes. For optimum performance, replacement of the 2012 tyres is recommended. The braking system also requires attention, with a left-hand front disc in need of replacement.
Underpinnings: The car's underpinnings are sound and free from perforating corrosion. The entire underbody has been sprayed with an anti-gravel coating and a protective wax.
