Since 1999, every generation of 911 has featured a GT3 version - and the Typ 991, which appeared in 2013, was no exception. The recipe may be well known by now, but it's no less fascinating: it's all about offering driving enthusiasts an "extreme" variant of the world's most famous sports car, whose more common definitions have gradually moved closer to grand touring. On the contrary, demonstrating once again the full range of possibilities offered by the basic concept, the GT3 is a racing car at heart, one of those that can lap the asphalt of the racetrack without major modifications. Lightened wherever necessary, the car houses under its rear hood a flat-six engine which, until today, has had the good taste to sit in the camp of atmospheric engines familiar with high revs, maximum power being reached here at 8250 rpm!
