First MEC: 01/1979
Mileage: 5,400 miles (8,700 km)
Chassis number: GHN5UL484827G
History:
With its 1800 cm3 engine, weight limited to one tonne, low driving position and rear-wheel drive, the MGB is a very pleasant car to drive. It offers access to the world of classic cars for a reasonable budget, both in terms of purchase and maintenance.
Our example is in excellent condition and has undergone a serious mechanical restoration. The engine has been rebuilt. Exceptionally, it still has its original factory paintwork! A rare colour in Europe, as it was reserved for the American market.
The current owner bought the car in the summer of 2023, selling it on because he realised he had no use for it. Before him, it had belonged to a Savoyard collector since 2012, who had himself bought it in the Paris region.
Condition:
Exterior: The bodywork is beautiful, with a lovely patina. The paintwork is original and has never been redone! The gold trim is original. The soft top is new and of excellent quality.
Interior: The upholstery is brand new, completely reupholstered in genuine leather (not imitation leather like other MGBs).
Mechanical: The engine has been rebuilt, with a file of photos to back it up. It has less than 10,000 km since it was rebuilt. The previous owner had the gearbox replaced. It runs very smoothly and has been regularly serviced.
Chassis and underbody: This MGB is sound.
