When you think "British roadster", Triumph is one of the first names that spring to mind, and what more emblematic model for the brand than the TR3! Based on the same principle as its big sister, the TR2, this car meets a very simple set of specifications: to be capable of winning rallies at the weekend, while still being usable during the week. To achieve this, Standard Motor Co's engineers drastically improved the TR2's chassis, giving the TR3 an enormous performance boost.
Our model is a TR3A, an evolution of the TR3, production of which ceased in 1957. Compared to its predecessor, styling and performance have been updated. The grille is enlarged, the headlights are slightly recessed, the engine is optimized to deliver 100 hp, and disc brakes are fitted as standard. These improvements are greatly felt behind the wheel, making the TR3A a legendary little sports car of the 1960s.
