This example of the Porsche 914 2.0 was delivered new to Germany in 1973, then imported to France in the 1980s. Always meticulously maintained, it has retained its original specifications. It has full documentation tracing its history since it was first registered. This model has remained faithful to its factory configuration, offering an excellent testimony to the spirit of the 1970s. Rare to find in such authentic condition.
Conditions
This 1973 Porsche 914 2.0 is in very good overall condition, both mechanically and aesthetically, offering a faithful presentation to the original and dynamic roadholding.
Exterior
Fully restored bodywork. The bodywork is sound and well aligned, and the paintwork has a beautiful sheen. The removable Targa roof is in very good condition. The original bumpers, trim and chrome are preserved. The wheels are in excellent condition, with no chips or corrosion. There are no structural impacts to report, and the car retains its original panels. A very attractive exterior for lovers of authentic vehicles.
Interior
Fully restored upholstery. The interior is as original, with the upholstery in excellent condition with no tears or rips. The seats, carpets and door panels are well preserved. The dashboard has a very slight patina but no cracks. The VDO meters all work. The original gear lever and steering wheel, in perfect condition, complete this sober and elegant interior. No modern equipment has been added, preserving the authenticity of the typical 70s cockpit.
Mechanical
Fully restored powertrain. The original 2.0L engine develops its 100bhp in a straightforward manner, combined with a well-spaced 5-speed gearbox. Starting is easy, revs are linear and the engine runs smoothly. The clutch and transmission work perfectly, with no abnormal noises. The car has benefited from recent servicing, including oil changes, filters and brake system checks. Dynamic handling is very sound, with a firm suspension and precise steering, in keeping with the Volkswagen-Porsche spirit.
