This Porsche was delivered new in France to its first owner. Its current owner has owned it since 2018. Extensive maintenance work has been carried out to make the car fully usable.
Condition:
General: This 964 is in beautiful, presentable condition in every respect.
Exterior: The midnight-blue bodywork offers a beautiful sheen, with no major flaws of note. The bumpers are lightly scratched, due to use of the car, but show no deformation. With the exception of the left rear rim, which shows slight traces of chipping, the Cup rims are in superb condition.
Interior: The soft leather upholstery is very well preserved. The seats are as comfortable and supportive as the car was when it left the factory. The dashboard has survived the decades very well, and the floors are impeccable. All instruments in the cabin are functional.
Mechanics: The flat 6 starts and runs perfectly. Braking and suspension components are sound. The TIptronic gearbox shifts smoothly. The car's roadholding is fully satisfactory. The engine was sealed in 2017.
Underpinnings: The underpinnings are sound and free from corrosion. Photos are available from the link visible on our website.

Some manufacturers don't hesitate to change the name of fundamentally unchanged models, in order to give them a new lease of life at little cost. In 1988, Porsche did exactly the opposite: under the unchanged - and by now unavoidable for the Zuffenhausen firm - identity of "911", it was an almost entirely new car that enthusiasts were able to discover that year. The Typ 964, as listed in the Porsche nomenclature, was 85% new, even though the overall architecture remained faithful to the 911's fundamentals and the car's silhouette had been carefully preserved. With its flat-six engine still mounted on the rear overhang, its frog eyes and on-board furnishings largely taken from its predecessors, the model today appears as a seductive aggregate of the vintage attributes of the most famous of Porsches (the 911's "face" will change very significantly with the arrival of the 993) and a certain modernity, with its power steering, ABS and finally efficient heating system. When equipped with two-wheel drive, as here, the 964 also delivers a driving sensation that's more or less intact!
