This replica of the 3.0 RS was built on a base of a 911 2.4 from 1972 (thus from the right period!). It was carried out after carefully consulting documents and photos of one of the 109 Porsche 3.0 RS built. As such, every detail of this car has been identically reproduced. This is arguably the closest replica of this exceptional model!
Condition:
General: In 2017, an appraisal was conducted on the car, confirming its perfect condition. The analysis highlighted the high quality of the workmanship, both in terms of the bodywork and mechanics, with particular attention paid to details. Furthermore, photos of the construction are available. Today, the car is ready to race on the most beautiful tracks.
Exterior: The bodywork is in very good condition. We only note a slight dent on the left side skirt. The paint is in excellent condition as well as the headlights and 9” and 11” rims. It is noted that RS wings have been mounted on the car, and not turbo wings.
Interior: Inside, of course, the car is stripped and has a complete safety roll cage. The bucket seat is in excellent condition. It is equipped with an RS pedal set with a distribution block, the RS dashboard, and door window openings as in the past.
Mechanical: The Bosch mechanical injection engine of 294 hp starts perfectly and delivers all its power. (engine case 930.101.104.5R of 3.2, same as in the PTH). The close-ratio type 915 gearbox with a limited-slip differential does not snag and allows for effective gear changes.
As mentioned earlier, meticulous attention has been paid to each detail, so that they are replicated identically:
Anti-roll bar,
Steel rear arms,
Large bearings,
Combined spring suspensions,
Large shock absorber mounts,
930 brakes and calipers with floating discs on hubs,
RS aluminum caliper handbrake,
All RS body reinforcements,
Large RS oil radiator…
It has also been equipped with a new and optimized electrical circuit with all circuits protected by circuit breakers.
Underbody: The underbody of the car is healthy and free of corrosion. Photos are available on request.
