The example presented is a 1959 356 A T2 1600 COUPÉ REUTER in good presentation condition. It was imported into France in 2019 and has no previous history. Between 2020 and 2022, it underwent a number of works, including restoration of the bodywork in an "aged" style, restoration of the engine and gearbox, overhaul of the running gear, replacement of the brakes with a front and rear disc kit, and replacement of the carpet and upholstery with Speedster-type seats.
The customization carried out is atypical and exclusive, virtually non-existent on the market.
Condition:
General: The car we are offering is beautifully presented, fully restored and reliable.
Exterior: The paintwork is in excellent condition. Chrome and hubcaps are in good condition.
The car has been repainted with an aged effect and matt varnish, its restoration carried out from 2020 to 2022.
Interior: Apart from the meters and instruments, the entire interior has been replaced. The Speedster-type bucket seat upholstery is in as-new condition, as are the carpet and headliner. The aluminum and wood steering wheel is aesthetically pleasing.
Powertrain: the Flat 4, fed by two Weber twin-barrel carburetors, works and starts perfectly. RPM increases are straightforward and gearbox shifting is well guided.
Underpinnings: The chassis and structure are very sound; photos are available on request.
