Acquired by its third and current owner in 2005, it has undergone regular and meticulous maintenance, reflecting the importance attached to its preservation. The vehicle was recently inspected by Porsche Rouen, confirming its good general condition and meticulous maintenance. A complete restoration of the engine was carried out six years ago by the brand's workshops. Major work was also carried out such as the gearbox, clutch, suspension and brakes around 1,300 km ago.
Condition :
General: This car is in very good condition. The car is fitted with its original engine.
Exterior: The restored bodywork is in very good condition. The grey paintwork is well preserved and displays a beautiful sheen, reflecting the care taken during the work. No traces of corrosion are visible, and there are no dents in the bodywork. The 15-inch wheels, mirrors and headlights are in perfect condition.
Interior: The interior is in very good condition, with brown imitation leather upholstery that retains its period charm. There are a few signs of wear, notably a loose seam on the driver's seat (5 cm). The interior trim, floor mats, headliner and dashboard are well preserved, completing the 50s ambience of this model. The on-board instrumentation is perfectly functional.
Mechanical: The engine (matching) of this Porsche 356 C 1600 was restored in 2016 at 96,353 km, and is in excellent working order. The manual gearbox also works perfectly, offering smooth, seamless gear changes. The clutch, replaced when the engine was rebuilt, also works without a hitch. As for the steering and running gear, the brakes are in good condition, with new brake discs and an effective handbrake. The four shock absorbers are also new.
Underpinnings: The car's underpinnings are sound and free from corrosion. Photographs are available on request.
