History
This example is one of the very first coupés to leave the factory in 1974. Equipped with the 120 bhp 1800 block, this Beta coupé is presented for sale in excellent condition. Delivered new in Italy in 1974, this Lancia was imported into France in November 2022 by its current owner.
Conditions
This Lancia Beta is in excellent condition, both aesthetically and mechanically.
Exterior
The bodywork is in very good condition and has stood the test of time remarkably well. The chrome, wheels and windows are all in excellent condition. However, there is a slight dent on the front left wing, the beginnings of discreet corrosion on the corner of the windscreen, and a small paint chip (about 2 cm in diameter) on the left door.
Interior
The interior is in very good condition. The dashboard, woodwork and fittings are in excellent condition, with no visible cracks or defects. The on-board instrumentation is fully functional. There are a few signs of wear and tear, notably a small tear in one of the headrests and a loose seam on the passenger seat. The carpets are spotless, and the Plexiglas on the speedometer dials is as good as new. The car is sold with a set of Lancia Beta-specific floor mats and a set of beige leatherette seat covers, also original to the car.
Mechanical
The engine is in excellent health, finely tuned to deliver optimum power with no suspect noise. The clutch, gearbox, brakes, steering and suspension all work perfectly. Recent servicing includes a revised alternator, new ignition (platinum screw and capacitor), replaced central exhaust and new rear shock absorbers. The cooling system has been cleaned and the heating valve replaced.
On the road, this Lancia Beta proves to be a real pleasure to drive, with a flattering sound and exemplary roadholding. The underpinnings, chassis and side members are perfectly sound, with no trace of corrosion.
