Our example is one of the 2,484 coupés built, more precisely an FHC version fitted with SE version equipment. This XK120 has benefited from a complete restoration. It is in perfect working order. According to the Jaguar Heritage Certificate, it was delivered new to Los Angeles in September 1952. It arrived in France in 2000, underwent a complete restoration between 2002 and 2006, and was then sold to a Belgian collector. The current owner acquired it over 7 years ago.
General: This XK120 has been fully restored and is in superb condition. The engine, two months newer than the original, is from the same series. A C-type cylinder head has also been added. In this color combination, the distinctive and desirable lines of the 120 coupés are highlighted.
Exterior: The bodywork has been completely restored to a high standard. Some elements have been rebuilt, straightened and adjusted, a work of great finesse. The chrome is sparkling and flawless.
Interior: The same care has been taken in the interior. All the upholstery is in excellent condition. The original seats have been rebuilt, and the carpets are new. The leathers are in perfect condition and all on-board equipment is functional.
Mechanical: The engine has been completely dismantled and rebuilt with performance parts: C-type cylinder head, high-compression pistons, Big Bore exhaust, front disc brakes. It starts and runs very hard: the torque is high, the sound worked... This one is ready to roll over any distance, and at any speed. The braking and cooling systems have also been restored. The MOSS gearbox performs well, responding well to the engine's power.
Underbody : The structure of this XK120 is perfectly sound.
