History: This Type E was delivered new in 1973 at the Jaguar distributor in Leeds, Yorkshire before arriving in France where its history dates back to 1993. Its current owner acquired it in 2017 after it had been owned by a Parisian lawyer for about twenty years.
Condition:
General: This Jaguar is in excellent condition
Exterior: The bodywork is in excellent condition. The off-white paint has been professionally redone in 2015. To maintain excellent condition, the hood and the right door were repainted one year ago. The soft top was redone in 2016. The wire wheels are in excellent condition, as are all other chrome elements that adorn this car. The headlights and mirrors are as good as their original state.
Interior: The cabin displays a very nice condition. The red leathers, found from the door panels to the seats, present very well, they are tight and their color has not faded. The seats are still well shaped. There are very slight defects on the dashboard, especially in front of the passenger, but this does not detract from the overall beautiful appearance. All on-board equipment is functional.
Mechanics: The V12 starts easily and delivers all its power. It was removed for a resealing in 2015. At the same time, the carburetors were refurbished. The hoses have been changed along with the intake manifold and the clutch. The gearbox allows for smooth and well-guided gear shifts. The driving behavior is very good.
