History: This Ford Sierra RS Cosworth was delivered new to France in 1986 and the second and current owner acquired it in 2014. This vehicle has a clear history, and has been the subject of two journalistic reports, one published in KM/H magazine, and more recently, a test drive on News d'anciennes. This car has always been maintained with care and passion and today presents itself in perfect condition.
Condition :
General: This example in its strictly original configuration is in very good condition.
Exterior: The bodywork and the numerous appendages that enhance the coupé's design are in excellent condition. The Diamond White paintwork is beautifully bright. The 15-inch BBS wheels (specific to the RS), headlights and mirrors are also in perfect condition.
Interior: The cabin is very well preserved, with Recaro velour seats in a fabric specific to the RS. Their shape provides excellent support. The carpets are in very good condition. This version has a three-spoke sports steering wheel. All the instruments are functional. The dashboard is original and has no cracks.
Powertrain: The 4-cylinder engine starts from a standing start and delivers its full power. The engine is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox in perfect condition, with smooth, seamless gear changes. Note that the timing belt, clutch and headlamps have recently been replaced. The tyres have less than 1500 km and are also in excellent condition. The engine was replaced by Ford on invoice when the car had 100,000 km due to a production fault. It now has around 104,000 km on the clock. The operation is fully traceable.
Underbody : The underbody of the car is sound and free of corrosion. Photos are available on request.
