History: Delivered new to San Diego, this Mustang spent a large part of its life in the United States, where it was restored in the 2000s. Finally imported in 2016, its current owner has owned it for over 7 years, and has carried out extensive work to improve the car's mechanics and make it more reliable.
Condition:
General: This Mustang convertible is in very good condition.
Exterior: The bodywork of this car presents very well. The paintwork was redone during the restoration in the United States and is now in very good condition, with the occasional light markings from the car's history. Chromium plating throughout the bodywork reveals a beautiful sheen. The wheels, also chrome-plated, are in very good condition, and could do with a little touching up. The soft top is in very good condition, tightly stretched, with no tears or discoloration. The engine is in need of restoration, but remains functional. Headlights and mirrors are in excellent condition.
Interior: The interior is in very good condition. The restoration can still be felt today, the leatherette is still tight and shows no tears or discoloration. The seats have retained their shape. The life of this car can be seen more on the center console and dashboard, with a few signs of use that in no way detract from the overall beautiful appearance. All on-board instrumentation is functional.
Powertrain: The V8 works very well, starting up without a hitch and transmitting all its power. The automatic gearbox delivers smooth gearshifts. Roadholding is very good. Significant work has been carried out by the current owner to improve and make the mechanics more reliable.
