FRANCE - Auxerre (89)
Built on April 22, 1974, this Challenger was one of the very last Challengers produced after the 360ci engine.
From the Hamtramck factory in Michigan, it was delivered new to its first owner in Canada. It comes standard with the Rally Pack, with larger, more modern tires. It also has a vinyl roof, a painted grille and the Rally Pack's own strobe side stripes.
This Challenger was restored by a collector in Laval, Quebec, some fifteen years ago. It was then imported to France in 2018 and has since had two French owners.
This Dodge was featured in Nitro magazine n.303 (test drive + car history).
Condition:
General: This example is in very good condition in all respects.
Exterior: The bodywork, in its original color, is in excellent condition. Only a slight blister and a door impact on the driver's side should be noted. Wheels are in excellent condition, and chrome is sparkling. The headlamps and windows are in excellent condition.
Interior: The interior is aesthetically pleasing. There are no holes or tears in the bucket seats. Due to the age of the car, the dashboard has a crack (not visible from the driver's seat). The carpets, headliner and wooden dashboard are in excellent condition. All instruments are functional.
Mechanics: The engine, fed by a quadruple-barrel carburetor, runs and starts well. The car revs well and the gearbox shifts well. Gears don't creak. This Challenger's road manners are very satisfying, it's consistent in the midpoint and perfectly balanced.
Underpinnings : The chassis and structure of the car are sound. Photos are available on request.
