The Austin-Healey 100 BN 2 is an evolution of the BN1, with an improved gearbox and a more modern rear axle. Aesthetically, the front wheel arches were redesigned and two-tone configurations were introduced as an option.
History:
The car was delivered to Philadelphia in 1956. Before leaving America, the bodywork was probably restored around 5 years ago. It will be imported into Belgium in 2019. In March 2020, a collector in the north of France bought it and had additional work carried out to ensure the mechanics worked as well as possible.
Condition:
Exterior: The bodywork has been repainted and is in very nice condition. The chrome and spoke wheels are also in very good condition. The soft top is good.
Interior: The interior has recently been refurbished and is in very good condition. The carpets are new.
Powertrain: The extensive mechanical work carried out has ensured that the car works very well overall. The gearbox has been restored, making it much more pleasant to drive.
Underbody: The car is very sound. According to the expert who inspected it, everything is in order.
Recent work :
Replacing the cylinder head gasket
Replacement of connecting rod and crankshaft bearings
Change of oil pump, strainer and new oil sump
Refurbishment of gearbox
Change of clutch (complete kit + transmitter)
Change of drive shaft
Overhaul of overdrive and wiring harness (including solenoid)

La voiture a été livrée en Amérique, à Philadelphie, en 1956. Avant de quitter l'Amérique, elle a probablement été restaurée en carrosserie il y a environ 5 ans et importée en Belgique en 2019.
