Introduced in 2005, the V8 Vantage was an ideal addition to the Aston range, offering a refined and exclusive alternative to both Jaguars and Porsches.The 4.3-liter V8 engine, originally from Jaguar but extensively modified for the occasion, is mounted in a central front position and connected to the gearbox/transaxle via a transaxle system, nestling at the heart of the aluminum structure shared with the DB9, whose overall design, by Ian Callum and Henrik Fisker, is very similar.In 2008, the "little" Aston benefited from significant technical modifications, including an increase in displacement, with the eight-cylinder now cubing 4,735 cm3 and developing 436 hp on the "S" versions - which are also 30 kg lighter than the classic Vantage.All of which further enhances the dynamism of this machine, whose road-holding qualities remain as relevant as ever!
