This Renault 11 Turbo Zender is one of the 650 produced by Renault at the time. Introduced in May 1985, the car did not undergo mechanical changes but received a complete body kit, including the famous Zender wheels and specific stickers. The tuner also worked on the chassis, defining optimized suspension settings compared to the standard 11 Turbo and, most importantly, using the "four-bar" rear axle from the Superfive.
Our specimen has 159,000km original mileage and has undergone a significant restoration (1,600 hours of work were performed by a workshop specializing in the model):
- engine removed and refurbished
- gearbox removed and refurbished
- front and rear running gear reviewed
- engine peripherals reviewed
- new consumables
- treatment of the interior and plastics
- new Renault covers
- new paint
- MOT with no defects
- a complete file of invoices and history is with the car.
Fast, light, efficient, and extremely enjoyable to drive on winding routes, the 11 Turbo by Zender is undoubtedly one of the lesser-known milestones of the 1980s, both aesthetically and technically – the turbo response time alone is delightfully indicative of the era, delivering driving sensations very different from those of a Golf GTI.
They have become unfindable on the market and even more so in such a condition! Our Zender is sold with a 12-month warranty and serviced for the sale.

Despite its undeniable commercial success, the 11 Turbo struggled to stand out from the crowd, judged by some to be a little too conservative. So Renault teamed up with the famous German tuner Zender to create an exclusive version, limited to just 650 units from the factory in 1985. Gone were the days of anonymity: the 11 Turbo Zender was adorned with a complete body kit featuring the famous Zender wheels with their distinctive design, seen on the Audi-based Vision 1 concept two years earlier. But the improvements aren't just aesthetic. The chassis, too, has been reworked, with optimized suspension and, above all, the adoption of the Supercinq's "four-bar" rear suspension - a development welcomed by enthusiasts and later extended to the 9 Turbo and then to the classic 11 Turbo. Fast, light and playful on twisty roads, the 11 Turbo Zender is a rare and little-known gem of the '80s. Its unique character translates into driving sensations that are quite distinct from those of its competitors, such as the Golf GTI. Far from being forgotten, this exclusive version is highly prized by connoisseurs, who have preserved the rare surviving examples (like the one we're offering you today), sometimes unfairly criticized by those who have never had the chance to drive it, because you'll see, to try it is to adopt it...
