History: This Porsche 911 series G50 3.2 Carrera Cabriolet was delivered new in Belgium and first registered in 1988. The current owner bought it in 2017 from a Belgian collector who had had it for over 15 years. He imported it to France and launched a complete restoration between 2017 and 2018, at 196,000 km. She won first prize from the jury at the European restoration competition organized for Porsche's 70th anniversary in 2018 at Le Mans Classic, under the supervision of Valentin Kaiser. It has covered 6,000 km since leaving restoration.
Condition:
General: This example is in very good condition.
Exterior: The bodywork is in excellent condition, fully restored with great care. The pewter-gray tint is the original color, specially ordered by its first Belgian owner. The Fuchs rims are in excellent condition. The car is optionally equipped with an electric soft top and a mosquito net. When the body was rebuilt, all seals, bumper bellows, etc. were replaced.
Interior: The interior is finished in olive-green leather, also specially ordered at the factory. The seats are electric, in very good condition. All on-board equipment is functional. The original tool kit is still present.
Mechanical: The flat-6 works very well. During restoration, it was thoroughly checked and found to be in excellent condition. Compressions were very satisfactory, so it was decided not to open the engine. However, the peripherals were reviewed. Sealing is good. Our example is fitted with a G50 mechanical gearbox, one of the most sought-after. These are fitted to the latest 3.2 models, and are much more flexible than the archaic 915 gearboxes designed in the early 1970s. Roadholding is very good, and the running gear has been overhauled. The car will be serviced for sale at GT Classic in Balzac, which carried out the entire restoration and has been following it ever since.
Underbody: The structure of the car is very sound, photos of the underframes are available on request.
