FRANCE - Versailles
Delivered new in Frankfurt in July 2008, this SL63 was imported from the Netherlands by its current owner in 2022. It is now registered in France. The current owner indicates that this is a fourth-hand car.
Our example is presented in a particularly desirable and rare configuration, thanks in particular to its "Designo Mystic Blue (A32)" color. It has been regularly serviced by Mercedes and is in excellent condition in every respect.
The bodywork is in excellent condition, with no notable defects. The 20" wheels are in near-new condition. As is often the case with Mercedes, the black anthracite leather interior is in superb condition for a car with such a high mileage. Seats and carpets are in excellent condition, as is the leather dashboard. On board, everything works and has been properly maintained. The sunroof mechanism works perfectly. The naturally-aspirated 6.2 V8 works very well, and the 7-speed Speedshift automatic transmission shifts smoothly. The car underwent a major service at 128,500 km. The tires have also recently been replaced. The car has a clean MOT.

The fifth-generation SL, codenamed R230, made its appearance in 2001. Seven years later, the car, designed under the aegis of Bruno Sacco, underwent a substantial restyling intended to bring its design closer to the firm's contemporary models. It was also at this time that the 5.4-liter compressor V8 of the former SL 55 AMG gave way to an exceptional engine, whose brief existence was enough to place it in the pantheon of legendary powerplants. This 6.2-liter naturally-aspirated eight-cylinder engine, which develops a whopping 525 hp and 630 Nm, is not derived from a pre-existing Mercedes unit; it's the work of AMG's engine-makers, who have created a true work of bravery, not only in terms of the performance figures it delivers for this luxurious two-seater. Its cavernous, addictive sound, which is not sweetened by turbocharging, takes on an even greater flavor once the hardtop is retracted into the trunk of this GT, whose accelerations are close to those of a dragster!
