In the autumn of 2014, Mercedes-AMG presented an all-new two-seater sports car which, contrary to all expectations, was not the direct successor to the now-defunct SLS AMG. The car's positioning is different, as it now competes head-on with a certain 911... And the wizards from Affalterbach have given themselves the means to achieve their ambitions: still driven by an eight-cylinder engine positioned at the front, the AMG GT - a sign of the times - abandons the naturally-aspirated M159 V8 of the SLS in favor of the twin-turbo M178 that will swarm under the hoods of other Mercedes-AMGs. The crowning achievement of several developments in the career of this model, production of which ceased only last year, is this seemingly inexhaustible 4-liter engine, which, without the slightest electrification, will peak at 730 hp and 800 Nm in the highly desirable Black Series version unveiled in 2020, and of which we offer you the rarest variant here!
