This Mercedes-Benz 220 SE (#003889) was delivered new in Germany in March 1961. It has just undergone a splendid complete restoration at Mercedes, which took one and a half years.
Everything is now restored to new condition, starting with its off-white bodywork featuring all its original rechromed fittings. The beige soft top is also new and comes with a red tonneau cover that matches the bodywork when folded. Inside, the typical perforated red leather upholstery has regained all its freshness - using Mercedes leather - and the dashboard woodwork is new. The white bakelite steering wheel matches the exterior color, and the car has retained its original, functional Becker Mexico radio.
The engine (matching numbers) is very clean, and all the mechanics have been rebuilt and perfectly maintained (overhauled gearbox, new running gear, etc.). It should be noted that all consumables are new, a service has just been performed for the sale, and it will be sold with all its booklets, maintenance books, and period catalogs.
