Specifications:
Flat-4 Boxer engine with carburetors - 92 hp - 10 fiscal hp
4-speed manual gearbox
Exterior: Blue - Interior: Beige leather
First registration: 07/25/1968
Mileage: 45,000 km
History:
This model was designed to fill the gap in Lancia's lineup between the luxurious 1957 Flaminia and the smaller 1953 Appia. The name "Flavia" reflects Lancia's connection to Italian history, evoking one of the ancient Roman roads. Innovative, the Flavia is the brand's first front-wheel-drive vehicle. Its initial engine, a 1,500 cc flat-four producing 78 hp, evolved over time, particularly with the introduction of the 1,800 cc 92 hp engine in 1963, which powers our example. This particular car was found in a barn in the South of France, in its original condition, ready for restoration.
Condition:
Overall: This coupe is in excellent condition following a high-quality, comprehensive restoration carried out a few years ago.
Exterior: The body, originally very sound, was completely stripped and repainted professionally. The metallic blue paint is in excellent condition with no notable defects. The body seals and bumpers were replaced with new parts during the restoration. The wheels and hubcaps are in perfect condition, as are the headlights and mirrors.
Interior: The interior has undergone a complete restoration and is in excellent condition. The beige leather has been carefully restored, and the seats are now in perfect condition. The dashboard has been fully restored, as has the headliner. All equipment and instruments function perfectly.
Mechanical: The engine is in very good running condition. The mechanicals were also refurbished during the restoration. The timing chain was replaced, and the carburetors were rebuilt. The gearbox is in excellent condition, and both the clutch and exhaust system have been replaced. The handling is impeccable, thanks to the thorough mechanical overhaul and the replacement of bearings, shock absorbers, and the renewed braking system.
Undercarriage: The undercarriage is sound and free of corrosion. Photos are available upon request.
