History
Once called the world's fastest saloon, the Jaguar Mark 2 is a forerunner of sports coupes. This particular model was imported from Los Angeles in a state of wreckage more than 10 years ago by its current owner. He then undertook a complete restoration, bringing it back to its former glory.
Conditions
This Jaguar MK2 is in excellent condition.
Exterior
At the level of a concours restoration, the bodywork of this MKII presents very well. The partially original Primrose Yellow paintwork is in excellent condition. The restored chrome and spoked wheels are also in very good overall condition.
Interior
The interior is very well presented. The red leathers and beige canvas headlining are in perfect condition, tightly stretched, and blend perfectly with the original and restored burr elm wood trim on the dashboard and doors. The seats are very comfortable, with no holes or tears. All the instruments work perfectly, including the clock.
Mechanical
The original 6-cylinder engine, which has been given a facelift, is quick to start and runs smoothly. The gearbox shifts smoothly and the overdrive is functional. The Coventry factory plaque in the engine compartment is still visible.
