History
This Ford Cortina was first registered in 1967. The car was acquired three years ago by its current owner. He had bought the car from a friend with the intention of putting it back on the road, but did not have the time to complete this project. The condition of the car and the 32,500 kilometres on the odometer suggest that it could be genuine.
Conditions
Overall, this car is in very good condition. It drives superbly well for a 57-year-old model. There are a few minor age-related marks on the bodywork, but nothing to worry about.
Exterior
The bodywork is in original condition, with a few dents and scratches from age. The paintwork is well preserved but shows a few signs of wear, but nothing serious. The wheels are in good condition, as are the headlights and mirrors.
Interior
The cabin is in generally good condition, with firm, comfortable seats. The dashboard is in good condition. The carpet, however, shows some signs of wear, and there are a few water spots on the headlining. The instrumentation is in good working order.
Mechanical
The engine is in excellent working order. The oil pressure is perfect, and the carburettor has been cleaned and stripped. The car handles modern traffic without difficulty. The brakes, shock absorbers and steering bushes have been replaced.
