Produced from 1955 to 1969, the Fiat 600 was a huge commercial success, with production equalling 4.9 million. Given the economic and social climate in Italy at the time, the Fiat 600 was considered the icon of the Italian economic miracle.
This Fiat 600 is a third-hand model of French origin. Its first owner was a garage owner whose family kept the car after his death. After many years without driving it, the second owner bought it in 2012 and carried out a complete restoration (around €13k). The third and current owner has owned the car since 2021.
General: This 600 is in excellent condition. A full restoration has been carried out (approximately €13,000 worth of work).
Exterior: The bodywork is in excellent condition and has been fully restored. The paintwork is tight and has been redone, and the chrome and aluminium are original and sparkling. The bumpers, wheels and headlights are also in excellent condition with no signs of impact.
Interior: The interior is in very good condition, the upholstery has been completely redone as originally. The cloth seats have no holes or tears. The floors and headlining are also in very good condition. All the on-board instrumentation is functional.
Powertrain: Mechanically, the 4-cylinder Fiat works and starts perfectly. The car brakes well and gear changes are seamless. Road holding is good and no anomalies are noted. The carburettor was replaced with a new one in August 2022. The old original one is available for restoration if required.
