The sensation of the 1984 Paris Motor Show was undoubtedly the Testarossa! Presented on both the Ferrari and Pininfarina stands, in keeping with a long-standing tradition, the car was the successor to the BB 512i, whose origins date back to 1973, and took up its technical layout. It was still a berlinetta with a rear mid-engine - in this case, the flat-12 of its predecessor, whose dimensions had not changed, but which was now equipped with cylinder heads with four valves per cylinder, allowing a fifty-horsepower increase. However, beyond the increased performance, it was the design of the machine that caused the most ink to flow. Designed by Leonardo Fioravanti, the Testarossa's striking styling is still captivating today, as it celebrates its fortieth anniversary this year. More than an iconic sports car, more than a Ferrari summit, more than a driving fantasy, this is a true icon!
