History: This Alpine was delivered new in France in 1971. The owner acquired it in 2008 and had it restored after his purchase. Note that this is indeed an original 1600 S, an Alpine document proves this.
Condition :
General: This Alpine is in very nice condition. During the restoration, the car was completely disassembled, both the mechanical parts and the bodywork.
Exterior: The body was changed during the restoration. The bodywork is therefore sound and in very good condition today, as is the paintwork, which shows no particular defects. The wheels are in very good condition, as are the headlights and chrome.
Interior: The seats are in very good condition. The dashboard is also in very good condition. However, the headliner has yet to be fitted. It is, of course, supplied. Overall, the cabin is in very good condition and all the instruments are functional.
Powertrain: Some of the mechanical components of this Alpine have been improved or replaced. These changes are completely reversible:
Complete OST stainless steel line
Electronic ignition
Electric fuel pump
Hydraulic handbrake
New electrical wiring protected by multiple relays
The 1600 has been completely rebuilt. It starts from a standing start, idles without a problem and is a pleasure to drive. The gearbox has also been overhauled. Shifting gears is a breeze. Roadholding is very good.
Underpinnings: The car's underpinnings are sound and free from corrosion. Photos are available on request.
Documents :
Registration certificate
Technical inspection
Alpine certificate of authenticity
12-month mechanical warranty included, valid at the dealer of your choice (can be extended on request).
