This Alfa Romeo was delivered new in France in 1963. A report shows 7 owners since 1988, and the current owner has owned it since 2014. The latter carried out extensive renovation work after its acquisition.

Condition:

General: This example is in excellent presentable condition in all respects.

Exterior: The bodywork is very attractive, the paintwork has a nice sheen, and there are no major flaws. Rims and chrome are gleaming and present well. The headlamps and bumpers are also in excellent condition.

Interior: The interior is in superb condition. There are no holes or tears in the seats. They offer good seating comfort. The carpets and headliner are in excellent condition. The dashboard is in superb condition, and all on-board instrumentation is functional.

Powertrain: The engine runs and starts very well both hot and cold. In 2016, the mechanics benefited from a major overhaul. The car revs well and the gearbox shifts smoothly. Roadholding is very satisfactory.

Underpinnings : The underpinnings are sound and free from perforating corrosion. Photos are available on request.

In 1969, Claude Sautet sent several Giulia coupés to the scrap heap for the accident scene in his most famous work, Les choses de la vie. Cinephiles will no doubt remember the now legendary shots of Michel Piccoli driving his grey Alfa through the streets of Paris, but if a remake of this film were to be made today, a more modern car would undoubtedly be chosen, as the surviving examples of the little coupé designed by Franco Scaglione have become so precious. The archetypal sports car that appeared in the mid-1950s, the Giulietta, which became the Giulia Sprint as its cubic capacity increased, already embodied everything that went to make up the Alfa virus: under a line that almost miraculously combined grace and sportiness, the famous in-house bialbero was nestled - and that was enough to make this car eternally desirable!
