This Jaguar E-Type 3.8 roadster was delivered new in June 1963. It has its Jaguar Heritage certificate and is in superb overall condition. Purchased from Eric Peru in 2000 by the current owner, the car was prepared for competition over 25 years ago and continues to be improved each year.
Completely restored in 2018 at MECAUTO in Belgium, this E-Type runs perfectly, the current engine has done 2 Tour Auto (it has just been serviced), the gearbox and axle are new. The racing consumables are up to date and the roll bar is new. It has a 160-litre fuel tank (ideal for endurance racing) and all the equipment is up to date.
This E-Type has the advantage of having kept its original bodywork and the level of preparation is intermediate. The car develops over 300 bhp, and the running gear, chassis, brakes and interior have been prepared to the latest FIA specifications. It's a car that has always done well in special stages!
This Jaguar is no stranger to rallies and circuits, and has raced in Spain, France and Belgium.
More than 13 appearances at the Tour Auto and 2 at Le Mans Classic. This is a reliable E-Type, with a fine and appreciated history. It will not require any specific expenses for its new owner.
Finally, it's important to note that the price is particularly consistent with the current market. This is a great opportunity to gain access to one of the myths of historic racing. A full photo and video file is available.
