This original French BMW E28 M5 Lachs Silver combines rarity and exclusivity, being fitted new with the Pack-M Technik, BBS wheels and leather interior found on the French versions.
Eager to have a mechanically perfect car, its current owner didn't hesitate to spend €40,000 to give the engine, identical to that of the M1, its full voice and potential. The running gear and mechanical components were also completely overhauled.

This BMW M5 was delivered new in France, by the Yvelines dealership, in March 1987.
It is one of the 588 cars sold in Europe, with the famous engine fitted to the BMW M1, and one of the last produced (this example benefits from various improvements: on-board computer, electric windows, shock absorbers, new anti-roll bars, large wheels...).
It's a fourth hand car, with a totally clear history and 150,000kms on the clock.
Fitted as standard with the M-Technik Kit Pack (option code 715 including spoiler, rocker panels and rear skirt), air conditioning, leather pack and autoblocker, this M5 has just undergone a major overhaul, with all mechanical components restored or rebuilt:
- Complete engine overhaul (new pistons, liner, gaskets, cylinder heads, etc.)

The initiator of the long line of M5s, the first of this name is also the rarest: only 2,241 examples left the factory between 1984 and 1988.Over the years, it has become one of the Bavarian company's great classics, but nearly forty years ago, the combination was absolutely unheard of: in fact, fitting the legendary 24-valve six-cylinder of the former M1 sedan into the body of the 5 Series E28 wasn't particularly intuitive at the time.
